Japanese MacBook Wallpapers: Mount Fuji, Torii Gates and Zen Gardens in 4K
Mount Fuji, a red torii gate in the mist or a raked zen garden: few themes calm a busy screen down as quickly. Here are two collections from our library inspired by Japan and East Asia, painted in a thick, palette-knife oil-painting style and sized in 4K (3840 × 2400 px) for MacBook.
1. Kyoto Zen – calm, pale and quiet
Torii gates at dawn, raked sand, red maple leaves and a bamboo grove, in soft, pale tones. The collection includes Torii at Dawn, Zen Ripples, Red Maple, Bamboo Grove and Misty Hot Spring. A good choice if you want your desktop icons to stay readable and your mind quiet.
2. Far East – Fuji, neon streets and temples
More colour and more energy: Mount Fuji in blossom, a neon alley at night, a temple hidden in an emerald cave, a torii at sunset and a long wall winding over the mountains. The collection includes Fuji Blossom, Neon Alley, Emerald Cave, Torii Sunset and The Long Wall.
Which one should you choose?
- Light, minimal desktop: Kyoto Zen.
- Dark mode and bright colour: Far East – Neon Alley and Torii Sunset work especially well at night.
- Can't decide: both are part of the Complete Library, together with every other collection.
A calm, Japanese-style desk in four steps
- Clear the surface. Keep only what you use every day.
- Use natural materials. Light wood, linen and a ceramic cup.
- Add one plant. A small bonsai or a sprig of bamboo is enough.
- Let the wallpaper do the rest. Pick one painting and tidy your desktop with Stacks (right-click the desktop → Use Stacks), so the scene stays clean.
